How much does an imperial gallon of water weigh in lbs and oz?
An Imperial gallon of water weighs 4 lbs. One lb is 16 ounces,so 4 times 16 ounces is 4 lbs which is 1 Imperial gallon of water.Hope this helps!!! IGNORE MY ANSWER,IT IS WRONG SORRY.
Reply:One Imperial gallon equals 4.546 litres and since one litre of water weighs one kilogram then an Imperial gallon of water will weigh 4.546 kilograms which is a lot more than 4 lbs it is in fact 10 lbs.Which is what I was taught in school but I couldn't find it in any book so thats why I worked it out this way.
