Can someone tell me the rule about Metric and imperial systems of measurement?

Metric uses units of one, ten, hundred, thousand, etc.

Imperial uses more archaic, scienceless guages of measurement, such as how long an Emporer's foot is, or the size of land a horse can work through with a plough in a day (an acre).

In a way, these rather sweet historical measurements of imperial should be cherished. But for the modern world, there's no denying that metric makes more sense.

Can someone tell me the rule about Metric and imperial systems of measurement?
There are so many different conversions - weight, distance, volume etc.Which conversion do you mean?

The website below will do the conversion for you and also has the details of the coversion e.g.

1 centimetre [cm] 10 mm = 0.3937 in

1 inch [in] 2.54 cm
