What are the officer ranks in the Australia Imperial Forcesfrom most senior to least senior?

My understanding is that the ranks used in the AIF were the same as those used in the regular army. The second AIF was commanded by Lieutenant General Blamey. Flag officers (those from Brigader and above) were recruited solely from regularl forces, while Colonel down were a mixture of both. The officer ranks are (from snr to jnr) General, Lieutenant General, Major General, Brigader General, Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel, Major, Captain, Lieutenant, and 2nd Lieutenant. Depending on background (job, education etc), a volunteer could be placed in any rank up to Lieutenant Colonel. The non-com ranks from snr to jnr are Warrant Officer 1 (WO1), WO2, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant, Corporal, Lance Corporal and Private. Warrant Officers were taken from regular forces in the early stages of the war, and used to instil discipline in the troops.
