Should there be a carbon tax on beer,as on fuel.
How big is the carbon foot print on a gallon of beer ( permission granted to use imperial by E.U. commissars)?

Reply:Good question. Lots of factors. You have a footprint for the grains, which must include all of the factors in production. There is also a carbon cost for filtering/preparing the water. I think those are the biggies, but I don't know about the CO2 released by the yeast in the fermentation process.
I tell you what: Let's go to a pub and split a gallon of beer. We won't care about the carbon footprint then!
Reply:Tell you what why don't we all go down the pub and sort it out over a few gallon of beer.
