Canadians: How old are you & do you think in Metric or in Imperial measurements or both?

I'm 34 and remember the commercials for Metricification on TV.

I think in Celsius for temperature (though I know Fahreinheit too), miles for distances, km/h for wind speed, pounds for person weight, kg for grocery weight, and liters for liquid volumes

Totally mixed up.

Canadians: How old are you %26amp; do you think in Metric or in Imperial measurements or both?
Canadian and 54...I think in Celsius for temperature, pounds for meat, weight etc, (I can't really get that one), kilometers for miles, litres for liquids.
Reply:40 here.. and its km for distance driving, Fahreinheit for temperture, km/h for wind speed, pounds for a person's weight (and grocery weight).. and Cups/Quarts ( Imperial) for dealing with liquid volumes.

The older we are.. the more we used the old Imperial system.
Reply:its ok industrial arts never switched over in hs so learned metric for kms and litres of fuel and everything else is standard
Reply:CDN. About the same age. Totally metric, except weight and height which I use both.
Reply:you are not alone i think pretty much every canadien thinks that way i know i do
Reply:I lived in Canada for three years and I can do C and F for temp. Kg for food and stuff, pounds for person's weight miles per hour, I can do cm and inches though.
Reply:I am old enough to remember that crap but I still use pounds feet yards ounces and miles per hour.....Pierre Trudeau did this to confuse us all so we would never know how much we were paying for gas...In one night it goes from gallons to litres...40 cents a gallon to 30 cents al litre... WHICH is 110 a gallon...Even today convert it and see what the Americans pay for gas as compared to Canadians..Even if you payed the exchange on the dollar you would still get it cheaper in The U.S. Oh yeah then trudeau bough out that other gas company and started a crown corporation Petro Canada....Notice P E T...... initial of Pierre Eliiot Trudeau,,, forever immortalized...Smart guy EH.
Reply:I'm 40 and I remember being taugh the metric system in school.

My husband sets the furnace in fahreinhiet because it allows finer temperature control.

I think weight in pounds, but everything else is metric (temp, volume, distance, speed).
Reply:19, learned everything in metric esept for lumber measurement.

still measured in board feet.
Reply:I think mostly imperial, but I wish I could think in metric
Reply:Over 50, so I no longer know how tall I am, how much I weigh, what the temperature is, or how far away a place is. And frankly, I don't really care anymore.
